NEW HAMPSHIRE
SECOND INJURY FUND WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT!
In March, 2023, we advised you that the New Hampshire House of Representatives introduced Bill HB-2, which included language calling for the elimination of the Second Injury Fund in New Hampshire. Under the proposed Bill at that time, employers and insurers would have been unable to seek reimbursement for subsequent, or second, injuries that occurred after September 1, 2024.

We are happy to report that on June 20, 2023, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu signed Bill HB-2 into law, and there is no reference to any changes affecting the Second Injury Fund in New Hampshire.
Thus, the Second Injury Fund will continue to be available!
