James T. Hornstein Jr. joined TKCK in December 2023 as an Associate. Previously, James spent three years representing plaintiff and employee interests in all aspects of personal injury law. In addition, he handled workers’ compensation matters before the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents and the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court. He also practiced family and criminal law for firms in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island. James’ focus is on Rhode Island workers’ compensation matters. James graduated from Wake Forest University with a BA in English and minors in Creative Writing and in Global Trade and Commerce. James then graduated from Marquette University Law School and was subsequently admitted into the Wisconsin Bar. James proceeded to clerk for the Honorable Debra Olsson of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Appellate Division. James is admitted in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, as well as in Wisconsin.
Matthew J. Fausch joined TKCK as an associate attorney in January 2024, where he will primarily be handling workers’ compensation cases in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Previously, Matt worked as a legal intern for a workers’ compensation defense firm before attending law school. While attending law school, Matt worked for a firm which represented injured workers before the Department of Industrial Accidents (DIA) as a Law Clerk. At both firms, Matt’s primary duty was to assist attorneys with preparing workers’ compensation cases for litigation, and he attended Conciliations at the DIA on behalf of both injured workers and large insurers during this time. Matt received a B.A. in Communication from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 2019, and earned his Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School in 2023. He was admitted to practice before the Massachusetts Bar later that same year, and in 2024, he was also admitted to practice before the New Hampshire Bar.
Greg D. Zacharakis joined TKCK in April 2024 as an Associate Attorney, primarily handling workers’ compensation cases in Massachusetts. Previously, Attorney Zacharakis advocated for injured workers. His dual perspective allows him to craft strategic defenses that anticipate opposing arguments and provide effective representation to his clients. He has experience representing injured workers throughout the claims process, from conciliation to hearings. Attorney Zacharakis meticulously strategized legal arguments and crafted persuasive motions to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients. He is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal representation, ensuring that every client receives the advocacy and support they deserve. Attorney Zacharakis is licensed in Massachusetts. With a strong foundation in the law, Attorney Zacharakis graduated from Quinnipiac University in May 2021 with an Accelerated Juris Doctorate (JD) and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, with a minor in History, earning Dean’s List honors and graduating Cum Laude.
Alivia G. Casillas joined TKCK as an associate attorney in June 2024. She specializes in Workers’ Compensation in Massachusetts. Previously, Attorney Casillas represented injured workers at one of the largest plaintiffs’ firms in New England. Her experience provides her with an elevated perspective, enabling her to assess claims from both the defense and plaintiffs’ side. As a law student, Attorney Casillas was given the extraordinary opportunity to experience the actual practice of law, representing real defendants in pending criminal cases as a member of her schools’ criminal defense clinic. Attorney Casillas also worked as a Rule 9 Student Attorney for the Town Solicitor of West Warwick, in Rhode Island, which furthered her skills in negotiation and trial advocacy. Attorney Casillas received her Bachelor’s Degree from Roger Williams University in 2019 and her Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in 2022. She was admitted to the Massachusetts State Bar in 2023.
Lauren Mansfield joined TKCK in January 2025. Previously, Lauren worked for several Connecticut-based insurance defense firms, where she represented the interests of employers and insurers in workers’ compensation and subrogation claims. She also has experience with representing municipalities and municipal employees, trucking companies, restaurants, retail establishments, and property owners in civil litigation. Lauren graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2010, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science. She then obtained her Juris Doctor from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2014. While in law school, Lauren was an Associate Editor of the Connecticut Law Review and completed internships with the Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, Connecticut Fair Housing Center, and Connecticut Superior Court. Lauren is admitted to practice in Connecticut and the District Court of Connecticut.
Matthew Solomon joined TKCK in January 2025. Previously, Matthew worked for several New Hampshire based insurance defense firms, with a strong background in workers’ compensation, civil defense, and complex litigation. With years of experience representing insurers in high-stakes cases, Matt is adept at navigating intricate legal and medical issues to protect his clients from financial exposure and liability. He has successfully defended insurers in both trial level and appellate courts, including oral arguments before the New Hampshire Supreme Court. Matt graduated from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Bachelor of Environmental Science. He then obtained his Juris Doctor from the University of Hampshire School of Law in 2019. When not working, he can be found fly fishing, refining his baking, or playing with his four-year-old son. Matt is admitted to practice in New Hampshire and Vermont.
