Biography
Tracey McPeak Kittell joined TKCK in May, 2025 practicing in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Tracey McPeak Kittell earned her Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1993. She enrolled in the Legal Studies program at Providence College before earning her Juris Doctorate degree from Roger Williams University School of Law in 1998. While in law school, Tracey McPeak Kittell was a Rule 9 Student Attorney who prosecuted a family court matter where she secured parental custody and visitation rights after proving her client was the biological parent using DNA evidence in a case of first impression. She was a member of the Edward P. Gallogly American Inn of Court in Providence, Rhode Island between 1996-1998 while attending law school. Tracey McPeak Kittell has 26 years of legal experience with 24 years focused in Workers’ Compensation representing insurers and employers. Tracey McPeak Kittell began her legal career in 1998 working at a large, well established law firm in Boston, MA. In 2000, she returned to Providence, Rhode Island to work in a mid-size private insurance defense firm representing employers and self-insureds at the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court and the US Department of Labor under the Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act. Thereafter, she worked as in-house counsel litigating matters in both the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court and the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents. She was employed by the Liberty Mutual Insurance Group for eight years where she was dedicated counsel for United Parcel Service. She then went to work for the Hartford Insurance Group for over fourteen years before joining TKCK. Tracey McPeak Kittell has handled thousands of cases involving traumatic injuries, occupational diseases cases, including catastrophic losses and death claims. She has engaged in litigation at the trial level as well as the appellate level and has appeared before the Rhode Island Supreme Court.
Tracey McPeak Kittell is a member of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Bench Bar Committee. She has been a workers’ compensation law speaker at the Annual Rhode Island Bar Association Seminar. She is also a volunteer and Board of Directors member for Kids’ Chance of Rhode Island which provides educational scholarships to children whose parents have suffered work-related catastrophic injuries or death.
